Millennial Women Are Right - You Should Feel Entitled at Work

How often have you said or heard it said that Millennials are so entitled? How often was that statement accompanied by annoyance, or maybe even disgust? While it is not true of all Millennials, it is a trait that has been attributed to the generation, and you may need to take note actually. Why? Because as a non-Millennial woman, if you don't have a sense of entitlement in the workplace, you may be doing a disservice to your own success. 

Come to find out, Millennials are not the only people in the workplace who feel entitled. Guess who else does? Men. And it gives them an edge that women don't have, which is causing women to be promoted less, mentored less, and paid less. Women are sitting on the "humble" sidelines while men, and some Millennials, are in the game, scoring big because they feel they deserve it. That needs to include you. 

Find out why you too need to adopt an entitlement attitude, at least at work. And once you know why you need it, I trust you'll know how to balance it with the nurturing and understanding parts of your nature that are what make you a great colleague and leader. Just know that adding the belief of "entitlement" to your repertoire is a tool you must have in your corporate toolbox. In order for women to get on the same playing field, everyone has to know about and be using the same tools. This episode talks about one you desperately and immediately need to add to your box.
