The only thing harder than being a parent, is being a new parent. That's according to ZenHippo Founder Loren Klein. She believes community, education, and mindful play can radically transform the early years of parenting – so she set out to create ZenHippo, a Palm Beach based collective of local experts offering talks and classes for expecting and new parents, caregivers, babies and toddlers. She opens up about her career as a social worker and teacher to mother of three, and how her parenthood journey inspired her to program early childhood play-based classes for children ages 0-3, from music and yoga to speech and language and even infant massage.

Tata’s Tip of the Week: Use visuals when you are speaking with your child

Our brain’s make connections when using our senses. Use a visual in addition to verbalization. Show your child the option of a visual. The more input you add, the easier it is to learn new words and language.
