I don’t sit still very easily or very often. At least not naturally.

My natural resting state is something around Mach 5, so learning to be still to be in the moment without needing to do anything, it’s taken practice.

Of course they DO call it a meditation “practice”. What I’ve also learned is that meditation doesn’t need to be sitting in some sort of cross-legged position in silence while incense burns. 

Sometimes, it can be as simple as being deeply intentional about a single, simple act.

And that’s what I discuss this week - along with noticing something interesting about the different roles that various trees play in the forest.
