Kate James is a business coach, author, and meditation teacher as well as a self-confessed introvert. She's built a career over 15 years as more of a 'low-key kind of coach' who helps her clients 'get motivated but not in a high-fiving ‘ra-ra’ kind of way'. What she has come to realise is that - by playing to her strengths as a quiet, grounded, and intuitive person - she has attracted the right people to her and is able to truly serve them.
I saw Kate speak recently at an event followed by a fun and big personality, but it was Kate's soft spoken words of wisdom that blew me away. I was so grateful when she agreed to be on the podcast to chat about mindfulness, in the midst of a looming deadline for her third book.
In this episode, we chat about:
What mindfulness actually is and Kate's own approach to mindfulness;
How to be mindful instead of mind full (especially if you are an internal processor and prone to overthinking);
How to be seen in your business in amongst all the noise as a more introverted person;
Why really understanding and accepting yourself and your strengths can really serve you and your clients;
The importance of giving yourself permission for down time and re-energising.
