In 1965, Walt Disney bid on a piece of land just north of the Los Angeles area in part of the Seqouia National Forest. His plan was to take the land and turn it into a $35 million ski resort destination. What happened over the course of the next decade was serious push back from conservationists, but despite the long history of Disney's Mineral King, there is more to the story than we may know.
