It always surprises me how hard it is to walk away. How much support, validation and strength it takes to walk away. And Hashem gives it to Avram as he invites him to leave his land, his father's home, and his place of birth. The things that nurture and feed us can have an expiration date and it comes time to greener pastures - or rather the land that Hashem will show us. 

Thank you, Avram for showing us how it's done. What it means to believe. What it means to walk through hard times. What it means to be human. What it means to walk the land of Israel. What it means to be a Jew.
