Sam, feeling plain beside the statuesque Anneke and the impossibly glamorous Dr Felicity Snow, retreats into self-doubt. Mitchell, however, immediately recognises Felicity’s layered provocations—her body, her dress, her confidence, and her silent signals directed at him.
