I really went more patriotic than president's day, but that's because I felt closer to it. There's also a lent/Easter poem by Emily Pauline Johnson. Also read were "I hear America Singing" by Walt Whitman and "Let America be America Again" by Langston Hughes who was highly important in the Harlem Renaissance. In fact, I feel his name is almost synonymous with the movement. Happy Black History Month, all.
