----------
The term Wokeness originally emerged from African American vernacular, particularly within the context of social justice movements. It signifies an awareness of social injustices, especially those related to race and inequality. As is often the case, movements that begin with constructive intent end up pushing their ideas to the extreme becoming similar to, if not worse than, those perceived as opponents. In our view, this is happening with the Woke culture, which originated by seeking to raise awareness of racism and social injustice, and is now actively promoting its own form of racism and discrimination. This process transformed Wokeness from a cure to a disease.

Explanation of sentences
Racism was generated by white people
This statement represents a simplification not only of history and reality, but also of the human being itself. Human beings, by their very nature, tend to distrust anything that is unfamiliar to them, since we are all greatly influenced by the customs and beliefs of the place where we find ourselves. The problem arises when that sense of wariness turns, due to dual thinking, into an us vs. them mentality. This can happen to anyone and anywhere, regardless of any kind of distinction.
Personal rights and freedoms come before duties
This kind of mentality is really dangerous. Thinking that you can do and have everything without giving anything in return highlights an extremely selfish and childish attitude. The direct consequence of this is that people end up feeling free from individual and social responsibilities, losing sight of moral and ethical values that must underlie any society that desires to call itself “civilized”. Taking responsibility away from people fosters exactly the kind of mentality that Woke culture would like to eradicate, since awareness of actions taken and possible consequences is lost.
I want to be free to express my sexual orientation
Humanity has existed for thousands of years along with all forms of sexual orientation and perversion, but until a few decades ago there was no need to make them public. Wouldn’t it make more sense to demand, and before that to give, respect for everyone regardless of one’s personal preference? Obsession with personal sexual orientation ends up creating problems that once did not exist, plus it makes young people even more confused and fragile. Moreover, once again, it only emphasizes the differences between people instead of the commonalities.
Minorities should always be protected and preserved
All right, so it is enough to declare oneself part of a minority in order to be able to take any kind of reckless action without facing the consequences. Being part of a minority means nothing; what matters are the actions and motivations that drive people to do what they do. People should be made individually accountable to society, not as part of a group, whatever that group may be. No one should have privileges, while everyone should have the same rights and duties. This is true equality; everything else is just selfishness.
Black people are disadvantaged and need to be supported
If you really think that way, we have bad news for you: you are thinking in a racist way. The afterthought is that people of color are for some reason less capable than others, and therefore should be given privileges in order to compensate for their individual deficiencies. Isn’t this exactly the same thinking as the slaveholders of the past, only with a different ending? We might describe this attitude as that of modern slaveholders.
Those who belittle the demands of minorities should not be allowed to speak
So freedom of expression only exists for those who think a certain way? People who see things this way prove that they do not understand how freedom of expression works. A minority trying to impose its worldview on everyone else is a story we have seen before; this proves that history teaches, but has no pupils. It also makes us realize that the human spirit does not change despite the passing of time. As Socrates would have said, "Let him that would move the world first move himself". If you prefer a more recent quote, here it is: "Be the change you want to see in the world".
