The annual Mining Indaba is currently taking place in Cape Town under the theme: Future-Proofing African Mining, focus being on sustainability and economic value for
the African mining sector. Running parallel with the event is the Alternative Mining Indaba, a platform advocating for social justice for sustainable development. We thought to use the opportunity to talk about inclusive mining opportunities that also benefit
smaller communities on the ground. Especially women seeing that the sector continues to be male-dominated. We’ve put together a panel of women in the sector to talk about the challenges on the ground and also being a woman in mining and
