There is no disputing the impact Rey Mysterio Jr. has had in the world of wrestling. Conventional pro wrestling (and, to a larger extent, WWE) wisdom says that a guy like Mysterio is destined to hang on the lower and middle portions of the cards.
However, Rey's incredible in-ring style and trademark flash of personality made him a popular staple in the Mexican wrestling circuit (and later WCW). But it was Rey's debut in the WWE that made him a true phenom, able to hold his own in a world filled with giants.
