Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary, Bloody Mary: chant her name in front of a dark mirror, and she will appear. It’s the sleepover game we all feared as kids, and the one we all dared our friends to do. But we performed the ritual anyway, hoping that Bloody Mary wouldn’t appear and scratch our eyes out, or steal our soul, or drink our blood, or whatever else she does. The legend as we know it today is a mixture of actual history and other similar myths, so there are many versions of the story.
