It’s the last minisode of season 2! Meghan & Abi check in with each other to see how they’re doing because, as we hope is abundantly clear to all of us now, mental health check ins are important! They share how they’re finding joy and what they’re grateful for these days. In classic Abi & Meghan fashion, as they attempt to shift into discussing GM community feedback, their brains melded and they came up with the same segue. They focus the back half of the minisode on talking about the response to their episode on anti-Asian racism and the GM community responses to the questions posed to them by Meghan & Abi on Instagram. They discuss friendship, both ending them as members of the BIPOC community being unsupported by white friends and the importance of showing up for friends in the BIPOC community if you’re white. They give a great big thank you to the Gaining Mom-entum community for engaging in these discussions with them and they ask for input on what listeners would like to hear in future minisodes. In a callback to their discussion on combatting anti-Asian racism, Abi & Meghan do a Google search to confirm that it really is that easy to find resources on “ how to support BIPOC friends“ and “combatting anti-Asian racism”. And just like that, it’s the end of the final minisode of season 2!
As always, thanks for listening! Please share Gaining Mom-entum with all of the wonderful people in your life!
