Some years, a farmer has a really good season, full of a plentiful harvest. Other years, there might be a drought, or some other situation that arises - with insects, or a climate change - that causes the crop to be very little. This is how it is in the Christian life too. He wants you to press on, and continue in what you’re doing, no matter the outcome.
