Former House Speaker Melissa Hortman and her husband were shot and killed at their Brooklyn Park home in a politically motivated attack. State Sen. John Hoffman and his wife were also shot and are recovering after surgery. The gunman, who posed as a police officer, is being sought by authorities. All Minnesota lawmakers are now under protective custody as the investigation continues.
