As if he’s not busy enough suing the Town of Minocqua and Oneida County in an effort to prove his assertion of discrimination and 14th Amendment rights violation, Minocqua Brewing Company owner Kirk Bangstad recently announced plans to open a taproom in the city of Madison sometime late this year or in early 2024.
Bangstad joined Thursday 8 O’Clock Buzz host Tony Castañeda to update him on the lawsuits he filed in in August, and shared plans for his new Madison taproom. The brewery’s Minocqua brewpub has been shut down by Oneida County, but so far Minocqua Brewing Company is still able to brew and sell its popular progressively-named beer through distributors. The new taproom will be located in a vacant space adjacent to Trixie’s Liquor at 2929 E. Washington Ave.
