Chapter two is a continuation of Chapter 1, God is still addressing the priests about their attitude. Attitude is usually the problem with our failures in service to God. We, like the priest, think our service is laborious, or contemptible, or simply not worth it. God is attempting to speak to the attitude of the priest. I would imagine there would be some that would say to the Lord, “Well, I am doing the service you require, I preform the sacrifices, I clean the temple, I do my duty.” But they do it halfhearted. God does not want half halfhearted service, He wants our whole heart. Speaking about our service, Ephesians 6:6 “Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; ”
