Mint is what I like for my tea and and digestion issues plus just like the flavor
I usually buy my mint but I have been curious as to how to properly do it myself. Mint is a very versatile herb that has been around for many centuries. It was used in the Roman days for seasoning lamb over the spit and for bathing to keep odors at bay. There are hundreds of types of mint, the most popular being spearmint and peppermint found in peppermint and gum. Mint is often used in many cooking and baking dishes. You can grow mint indoors or outdoors. The books gives you great ideas how to grow, cook and use mint as well as the history of mint. Mint grows rapidly and the best time to plant mint is in the spring. Mint will add color and a nice scent to your flower bed. The book goes into great detail on how to remove the leaves properly without damage to the plant. I use a lot of peppermint essential oil. I had hoped it would go into more detail about that. The tea jokes in the additional tea book are great and so is the information about tea. Just an added bonus. I found the information on the health benefits of mint to be very interesting and educational. After reading the book I have made mint tea, like I already did plus tried the peppermint mocha recipe, and I also followed the recipe to whiten your teeth. There are many home remedies made from mint, such as using it for nausea, stomach pain and indigestion to name a few. I would recommend this book for anyone wanting to learn, grow and use mint. There is a recipe for peppermint mocha, fresh mint milkshake, fresh mint julep and homemade mint lemonade. You don't have to have a garden to grow mint, so anyone could benefit from and use the information in this book.
Very informative book.
This is a very informative book. It describes the origins of mint which I found to be interesting. It also describes the different health benefits such as for your teeth, acne, and digestion. There is also a section with recipes.
Very informative
The book is very informative about tea that I never knew since I'm not a tea drinker. I think I will be now. I gave it a 4 because it really irritates me when people don't proofread their work before they present it.
Good summary
Wish it would give more details on growing it. What type of soil, mornings or evening shade, etc. Should list resources of seeds.
Needs editing
This book needs editing.
Many parts seemed unfinished. The benefits of tea could use more information. It's a good start.
