Gerard Anderson, PhD, professor of health policy and management at the Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, explains the role of Pharmacy Benefits Managers and whether they are to blame for the rising cost of prescriptions, as pharmaceutical companies and politicians are claiming.

"We pay about 3 to 4 times for prescription drugs," compared to other countries, says Dr. Anderson from @JohnsHopkins. On PBMs, "they do a very poor job of negotiating prices, but they probably do better than you or I could do in negotiating price."
