  • Testing Revival Claims by God’s Word
Christians must evaluate claims of revival by Scripture. In this episode, Dave Jenkins explains why crowds, emotions, and miracle claims cannot establish that a movement is from God. Drawing on 1 John 4:1 and Acts 17:11, he outlines four principles for biblical discernment: submit to God's Word, look for Christ-centered teaching, examine lasting spiritual fruit, and exercise patience. True revival magnifies Christ, proclaims the gospel, and produces repentance and obedience. • It Is I: The Lord Who Walks On The Sea
This sermon examines the account of Jesus walking on water in John 6, emphasizing the disciples' fear and exhaustion as they row against a strong wind in the dark. The message highlights that Jesus, who is identified as the divine 'I Am,' sees the struggles of believers even when He is not physically present, countering the notion that trouble indicates a lack of divine will. By connecting Jesus' command 'It is I, do not be afraid' to His divine identity and power over creation, the preacher invites listeners to trust in Christ's sovereignty over their personal storms. The sermon concludes with a call to repentance and faith, urging those who are unsaved to receive Jesus into their lives, just as the disciples received Him into their boat, to find peace and salvation.

  • God's Mighty Works
The sermon recounts a missionary's struggle to communicate the gospel to an unreached tribe, highlighting the progression from linguistic barriers to spiritual opposition and finally to cultural skepticism. The speaker describes how demonic forces blinded the minds of the listeners, preventing them from accepting the truth despite the missionary's fluency in their language. This impasse was broken not by human argument, but by God's intervention through miraculous signs, including a man rising from the dead and visions that confirmed the missionary's testimony. These events served as divine validation, overcoming the tribe's disbelief and leading to genuine conversions that endured for decades. The narrative challenges the theological assumption that such sign gifts are limited to the early church, asserting instead that God uses them in any era when there is a need to establish the truth among unreached people.

  • 3 A deeper look at Judas—Could You Betray Jesus Too? - Mark 14:10-21
Why did Judas Iscariot betray Jesus? Was it really just about 30 pieces of silver—or was something far more dangerous happening in his heart? In this in-depth Bible study of Mark 14:10–16, we explore the betrayal of Jesus Christ, the spiritual danger of loving money, and the remarkable truth that God's sovereign plan was unfolding even through humanity's most wicked actions. Judas was not an outsider. He was one of the Twelve disciples who had walked with Jesus, witnessed His miracles, and heard His teaching. Yet he chose money over Christ. How could this happen? And what warning does his betrayal hold for us today? In this episode, we examine the human and divine dimensions of Jesus' journey to the cross. My sermons are the fruit of nearly 30 years of pastoral ministry, biblical counseling, formal seminary training, and a lifelong passion for God's Word. Since childhood, I've been drawn to the beauty and power of expository preaching—opening Scripture verse by verse and applying it to real life. After graduating from Moody Bible Institute, I spent the next 27 years serving as a youth pastor, senior pastor, church planter, and host of the Food For Your Soul radio broadcast. Along the way, I also earned a Master of Sacred Literature and a Doctor of Religious Studies. For more content from D. Richard Ferguson, visit TreasuringGod.com. • Walking on the Sea
In this morning sermon from John 6:15-24, Pastor Rockhill draws the congregation to the central purpose of John's Gospel: that readers would believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and in believing have life in His name. Following the feeding of the five thousand, the crowd sought to seize Jesus and make Him an earthly king, and He withdrew to the mountain to pray while His disciples set out across the sea. Pastor Rockhill unfolds the great sign of Jesus walking on the water in the midst of a violent storm. Drawing on the parallel accounts in Matthew 14 and Mark 6, he shows how this miracle, together with the boat's immediate arrival, confirmed to the disciples that their faith was not misplaced and that Jesus possesses divine power over nature itself. His words, "It is I, do not be afraid," reveal Him as both Son of God and Prince of Peace. The central burden of the message is that Christ draws near to the fearful and anxious to bring His peace, and that believers, indwelt by His Spirit, need not fear the storms of life. Pastor Rockhill also teaches from Jesus' own practice the importance of resting the body and refreshing the soul, especially on the Lord's Day. He closes with a searching application: many today seek a false Jesus who entertains and gratifies earthly desires without calling for repentance. Pastor Rockhill urges each hearer to examine which Jesus they are seeking, pressing them to trust the crucified and risen Christ of the gospel.

  • WHY TWELVE STONES?
WHY TWELVE STONES? "When God Put a Nation into a Memorial" Joshua 4:1–9, 19–24 KJV Why did God command Joshua to take exactly twelve stones from the Jordan River? Why not seven, ten, or twenty? Because those twelve stones carried a message greater than the stones themselves! When Israel crossed the Jordan on dry ground, God commanded twelve men, one from each tribe, to carry a stone from the riverbed and establish a memorial at Gilgal. Those stones would remind future generations of God's mighty power, His covenant faithfulness, and His miraculous deliverance. In this Sunday School lesson, we trace the significance of the twelve tribes throughout Scripture—from the sons of Jacob to the twelve pillars at Sinai, Elijah's restored altar, the twelve apostles, and the New Jerusalem. We discover that God was not merely preserving the memory of a miracle—He was teaching an entire nation never to forget the God who brought them through! The twelve stones remind us that God remembers His promises, preserves His testimony, and calls His people to pass the truth of His mighty works to the next generation.

  • The Power of Prayer
VaultAI Summary: This sermon explores the biblical account of Joshua commanding the sun and moon to stand still, arguing that this event was a literal miracle demonstrating God's sovereignty and the efficacy of prayer. The speaker contrasts the common tendency to view such passages as allegorical or natural phenomena with the historical reality of divine intervention, emphasizing that God's power is sufficient to fulfill His promises. By connecting Joshua's specific petition to New Testament teachings on faith, the message encourages believers to move beyond generic requests and instead pray with boldness, specificity, and confidence in God's ability to act. The sermon highlights examples from church history and Scripture to illustrate how fervent, believing prayer can result in supernatural answers, urging the congregation to view prayer not as a last resort but as the primary weapon in the Christian life.
