For today’s episode I speak to the very lovely Ciara O'Malley. 

Ciara and her boyfriend David Gavin moved to Canada from Co. Mayo in 2017. 

They were childhood sweethearts, madly in love and excited to start a new adventure together. A few months after settling into their new lives, David travelled to a GAA match with his teammates. They stopped at a lake to cool down but tragedy struck when David was pulled under the water and never resurfaced. This is a heartbreaking story but Ciara bravely tells me about what she went through that year as they searched for David's body.

Coming away from my chat with Ciara, I was blown away by her strength & determination. She has an incredible outlook on life now & what she has achieved on her personal journey of grief is astounding to say the least.
