Today, we begin with a special young woman from the book of Exodus: Miriam, the older sister of Moses and Aaron, the sister who is not only at the river’s edge when Pharaoh’s princess draws his basket up out of the water but who also goes on to serve God and the people alongside her brothers after the Israelite nation is freed from the land of Egypt.
