Originally from Danville, VA, Mirinda Kossoff has traveled the world, including Japan, Tahiti and Turkey. Previously a communications director in academia and nonprofits, she is a an author, visual artist and voracious reader. Mirinda recently published The Rope of Life: A Memoir, about her Jewish-turned-Southern Baptist father who tried in every way to pass as a Southern good old boy. Failing at that, and other factors such as chronic pain, led to his suicide and Mirinda’s attempts to understand him and the choices he made.
