Crime Diner

Mirror Mirror On The Wall

Listen Later

We all heard stories as kids. If you were especially lucky, you heard some really scary ones too. But sometimes those scary urban legends come true and this week that’s what we’re serving up. Nydia shares the true story of Cropsey. Was Andre Rand the incarnation of the fictional Cropsey or was he simply a drifter taking the blame for someone else’s crime? Dana tells us about the urban legends of Bloody Mary and Candyman, and how the murder of Ruthie Mae McCoy was eerily similar. Cindy tells us about New Jersey’s own urban legends such as the Atco Ghost, the Ghost Train of Penn Station, and the haunting of Clinton Road.
For dinner, Cindy scared us up some campfire chili with a cornbread crust. For dessert, we had s’mores brownies. Our wine this week was 19 Crimes Pinot Noir. This wine is a podcast favorite for its creative use of its interactive story labels.
