The death toll in Samoa caused by measles has risen to 70 with 2 fatalities in the last 24 hours. The number of measles cases reported so far totals to almost 4,700. After the Government’s two-day mass vaccination, it says approximately 90 per cent of all eligible people in Samoa have been vaccinated against measles. Public health nurse and newly crowned Miss Pacific Islands Fonoifafo Nancy McFarland Seumanu is part of the team delivering vaccinations to people in Samoa.
