On June 23, 2022, the family of Joniah Walker reported the 15-year-old missing. Joniah was last seen around 2:30 p.m. on June 23, 2022, near the intersection of East Reservoir Avenue and Buffum Street in Milwaukee.
The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) is assisting the family of Joniah Walker and has released footage of Joniah leaving her home the day she disappeared, Joniah is seen carrying a large green hiking backpack. The NCMEC also issued an “urgent alert” for Joniah on their social media accounts.
Joniah’s mother has pleaded with the public for help and also has made a plea to her daughter to “Please call me and let me know you are safe.” Joniah’s mother, Tanesha Howard, has also stated that she is frustrated that a critical missing alert has not been issued by the Milwaukee Police Department.
