Marguerite Fulmer is beautiful and, by all critical accounts, a talented sculptress. So when she goes missing on her way into her studio one morning, people take notice. Not only because she is beautiful and talented, but because she is the daughter of Milton Fulmer. And the Fulmer Family is rich.

Rich enough that there is no mandatory waiting period before every resource is deployed in looking for Marguerite. 

But it’s years later and there is still no sign of Marguerite or what may have happened to her. And the only one who still seems to be looking is her sister, Georgene Fulmer, who—having given up on the police to solve her sister’s disappearance, chooses to take matters into her own hands.
