On July 28, 1997, in Rose Hill, Kansas, Frank Harrod calls his son, 24-year-old Franklin Harrod, Jr., also known as “Punkie,” who seems "off."

That phone call leads to uncovering a twisted love triangle & has lead investigators to the murders of two men who have been missing for decades.

Ricky L. Nelms, originally from Trinity in northwest Alabama, had moved to the Wichita area to work as a roofer. His family last saw him in February 1988 when he left with an old friend to return to Wichita

The man that connects both of these cases Jerry Trussell, currently imprisoned. Trussell is the only one, of three people convicted, still serving time.

Rickey Nelms has been missing since 1988. Punkie Harrod was last heard from in 1997.
