For many, once this dreadful word leaves one’s mouth, they begin to shutter in fear. Some may even start convulsing or looking for a safe space to hide. The awful word, deputation! In my own experience, I also had an irrational stigma implanted in my mind regarding deputation. But, I was genuinely ignorant on the subject, but I didn’t let my ignorance stop me from expressing my ideas regarding the realities of deputation. In the end, my ignorance, and my desire for relevant knowledge, allowed my wife and me to create a deputation process tailored to our needs.
