When Jesus walked among us, it was his custom to reach out to those around him – to people in need. Jesus defied customs and traditions. And he was unpredictable. He did not meet every need the same way. But he met our deepest need – our need for a Savior, our need for salvation, our need for redemption, our need for a Lord. Some people he chose to heal – then and now. Others would wait for eternity. And yet God calls us – to trust him; to set our hearts and our hopes on him; and to follow His Son and His Word.

The gospel reveals an unpredictable Jesus. And yet it’s this Jesus – who often shows up when we least expect him. It’s this Jesus – who works in ways we can’t always imagine and don’t often understand. It’s this Jesus – who calls us to a relationship. It starts with salvation by grace through faith in him and continues with a life-long journey called discipleship – following him. The gospel calls us – to belong. This morning, we invite you to share a part of the journey. Join with us – in seeking to know God, grow in your relationship with Him.
