They provide treatment to severe chronically mentally ill individuals who are involved in the criminal justice system, and help people to transition from a hospital or penal institution in to an independent, to achieve control over their disorders. — Jelea Butler, former program client who graduated from The Caring Place, Broward. She later obtained a security license and a job. She returns to the center from time to time to make a donation because she knows how important this type of support is.
