Missive 128: Old Dog, New Mental Tricks

Listen Later

Hello my Manish Peeps!

In this episode we will discuss how the saying of "you can't teach an old dog new tricks" is based in not wanting to put forth the effort to change. This will cover the following defined points:

  • They say you cannot teach an old dog new tricks, but this is an excuse to not pursue personal growth.
  • This statement arises from the level of effort we know we will have to perform to modify how we think and how we feel. When faced with this effort it is often easier to simply remain where we are.
  • But we can learn, grow, and create until the day we cross over. There is no need to live in unhappiness. We have the capability to alter our lens and adjust our thoughts, no matter our current age.
