Missive 138: Creating Trust Through Truth

Hello my Manish Peeps!

In this episode we will discuss the negatives in requiring that a relationship prove it is trustworthy before we give it trust. This will cover the following defined points:

  • Trust should not be something earned, but instead freely given until a person demonstrates themselves as untrustworthy. We need to move our thought process from proving it to me to I trust you until I have reason not to.
  • We can demonstrate this trust relationship through personal truths shared. This is not to say over share without request. But when asked, be truthful in your response wrapped in a cover of emotional awareness.
  • Truth is more than simply creating trust, it is also about living with self. A life created on lies is a life of constant worry about getting caught.
