Missive 164: Misplacing The Reason Behind Your Desire

Hello my Manish Peeps!

In this episode we will discuss the importance in aligning yourself with the reason behind the desire to prevent a focus on the final manifestation of it. This will cover the following defined points:

  • Behind every desire is a reason in the desiring. We can simplify it down to positive emotions. Generally, there is a more specific reason behind it. We want the relationship because we are lonely. We want the job because we are eager to make a difference. We want the trip to Italy because we want to see our family history.
  • As we walk the journey to our desire we often misplace the reasoning behind it. Instead, we focus on the end result and forget why we are working towards it. In this forgetting, the result becomes the importance.
  • Take time to remind yourself why you have the desire and why you are walking this path. Allow yourself to remember the underlying reasoning behind it so you can find enjoyment in the doing, not focusing on the result. The importance is the reason and not the result.
