The U.S. Department of Education has chosen Missouri to head up a national experiment on a new statewide assessment model. Missouri is the only state in the nation to begin the trial run during the upcoming school year on the different approach to testing.

Alisa Nelson talks to State Education Commissioner Karla Eslinger, who says Missouri will test the transition from traditional end-of-year tests to exams given throughout the school year.
