Republicans in the Missouri Senate are again trying to defund Planned Parenthood.

The topic isn’t new to the General Assembly or the court system. In recent years, the Missouri Supreme Court ruled in favor of Planned Parenthood, saying lawmakers can’t exclude abortion providers from receiving Medicaid reimbursements within the budget.

The senator behind the proposal says this is a different approach.
