Peer2Peer is a group of trained student volunteers committed to providing online peer support to MIT students, who believe it is important for MIT students to have the opportunity to connect with supportive, non-judgmental peers who know first hand what being a student at MIT is really like. Peer2Peer, an anonymous web-based peer support platform, launched late last month. The site allows users to chat with fellow students; the Institute launched the site as part of an ongoing effort to lower the barrier for seeking help with mental health issues. Peer2Peer was spearheaded by Berj Chilingirian '16 and two professionals at MIT Mental Health, Evan Waldheter and Rheinila Fernandes. Listen in as Evan Waldheter, Psychologist, and Rhenila Fernandes, Psychiatrist, explain Peer2Peer and how it helps MIT students get the help and support they need. Published in: MIT Medical
