Global Beat Fusion looks at the converging world culture being created through music. Based on the book Global Beat Fusion by Derek Beres, the project travels to five continents talking with some of the most creative and loved musicians from each culture…why they make music, what that music means to their culture and how collaborations between musicians from all cultures brings humanity closer together. Global Beat Fusion suggests that by listening to a culture’s music you gain access to the soul of that culture. Additionally, GBF proposes that the computer is world’s first global folk instrument; the first time in history that musicians around the globe create, distribute and share music on the same instrument.
