Saskia has a love for the outdoors and particularly long distance running. At a young age though a routine scan revealed a mitral valve prolapse leading in later life, to mitral valve repair for her at 31. In this episode Rob Underwood from the BHF discovers how she coped through those difficult, early years, with regular hospital check ups part of her everyday life. Also how she overcame those uncertain times surrounding her surgery. Now though Saskia looks forward to a bright future ahead.
