MITSUBISHI INDIA WINS BIG ORDER IN BENGALURU
Mitsubishi Elevator India Pvt. Ltd. (IMEC) has won an order for 178 units at a technology business park in Bengaluru, India, the company announced on June 13. The order includes both passenger and service elevators. The passenger elevators will employ eight-car group operation with destination-control systems and access control in the elevator lobbies. The elevators, which will be sourced from Mitsubishi factories in Japan and Thailand, will include touchpad panels, LED light fixtures and Mitsubishi’s patented “MelEye” monitoring system. The park is being developed by M/s Bagmane Developers Pvt. Ltd. IMEC says the deal represents the largest-ever single order for an information technology park in India, though the company has previously installed about 200 units at the same developer’s various projects around Bengaluru.

Capozzi has previous experience in the elevator industry with small and large customers and has numerous elevator-consultant contacts. He graduated from the NJ Institute of Technology with a degree in Business. Imperial Vice President of Marketing and Sales Gary Ward said he is confident about Capozzi’s ability to help grow the company’s elevator-product sales through face-to-face customer meetings and followup.
DOWNTOWN CLEVELAND APARTMENT HIGH RISE ENVISIONED
The nonprofit Playhouse Square Foundation plans to build a 34-story, 378-ft.-tall tower containing more than 300 apartments on the edge of the theater district in downtown Cleveland, The Plain Dealer reports. The organization also plans a six-level parking garage topped by resident amenities at the site, at East 17th Street and Euclid Avenue. Global real-estate firm Hines would serve as development manager. A market study Playhouse commissioned showed occupancy is still low and demand high for downtown Cleveland, which will be able to accommodate at least 500 new apartments each year for the next five years. Groundbreaking is anticipated by the end of the year, with the project opening by 2020.
