I met host Kalen by chance when I was in San Francisco last year, they were working at the @darkentriesrecords store when I visited, hit it off and was duly impressed by his passion / nerdery — kept up infrequent correspondence, then at the start of January when I made this mix just off the cuff I sent it over and he asked if it was good to broadcast. It’s a lot of early and mid 90s house and techno, all mixed as the good lord intended: in one take on two mismatched turntables, a dodgy mixer, and faulty earbuds as I didn’t have actual headphones on me. None of the records or gear are mine — was catsitting for a friend and using his gear.
