Mixing Family & Business: How to Stay in the Loop

Listen Later

👋 Hey Purpose Talkers,

Last week we briefly discussed the S.M.A.R.T system attributed to Gary Doran. (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Timely) if you haven't heard it cue it up next!

Mixing Family & Business- How to Stay in the Loop

Clarity:

  • Designate one person to set a date and time that works best for your family dynamic. Make sure everyone has it on their calendar.
  • Build the meeting agenda by gathering information from each person.
  • Address questions and concerns before the scheduled meeting.

  • Organize: Keep the Main thing the Main thing!

Have each person state their problems, needs, and goals before coming together increases productivity. The body of the meeting should focus on the information gathered from your family members.

    Prepare:

    • Allow each person to share what they learned and how they will use it moving forward.
    • Identify 1 or 2 action steps
    • Schedule your next meeting while everyone has their calendar.
    • Conclude your meeting with prayer and encouragement for everyone to keep pressing forward.

    • Will Durant wrote - We are what we repeatedly do.
