Set in the heart of the African jungle, “Mkara” is a suspenseful and atmospheric tale that blends psychological horror, colonial tension, and mythic revenge.

The story follows Dr. Henry Dimsdale, an ambitious British anthropologist who has come to study the cultural practices of an isolated African tribe. His focus is the legend of Mkara, a powerful serpent-god said to guard sacred land and punish those who trespass with death or madness.

Despite local warnings, Dimsdale arrogantly pushes forward with his research, determined to debunk what he calls “superstitious nonsense.” He’s accompanied by a young assistant and a weary local guide who understands the weight of what they’re disturbing.
