Panelists: Darnell Smith, Director of Athletics, Texas A&M University San Antonio; Dr. Myron Pope, Vice President of Student Life, University of Alabama; Cheryl Wong, Assistant Commissioner, Pac-12 Conference; Lanea Tuiasosopo, Digital Community Manager, Voices in Sport Mentorship and sponsorship of staff and colleagues can be rewarding.
There are also relationships that do not go well. This session will explore the relationship between mentors and mentees. The panelists will discuss how mentorship has played a role in their lives and career development. Learn what responsibilities mentees have in building the relationship. Hear about the difference between mentors and sponsors, the benefits of both, and how to take a good relationship from mentoring to sponsoring.
