We reflect on our long time (40+ years) intertwining of friendship and technology starting with the original IBM PC and continuing to the present. On the way to the present, Kim relates using an early GPS device to avoid being lost at sea in a storm in between atolls in the Marshall Islands, the convergence of word processors, scanning his entire academic library (books and papers), and the overall journey from analog to digital.
