Chronic pain is any physical pain that lasts for more than 3 months. But after three months, it's rarely only physical, it's emotional and mental too.
In this episode, we sit down with Canadian Kinesiologist of the Year and clinical director of Symmetrics Kinesiology, Dasha Maslennikova, to talk about the missing piece that most people in chronic pain never address; mindset.
We get into how the victim mindset keeps pain locked in, why the nervous system is the bridge between mental and physical healing, and how awareness and small deliberate actions can shift you from helpless to vital. Dasha also shares her own 13 year journey through chronic pain and what finally moved the needle, including breathwork, meditation, and yes, hypnosis.
This one is not just for people in pain. It's for anyone who has ever felt like life is happening to them.
Dasha is the Clinical Director and co-owner of Symmetrix Kinesiology. She brings 12 years of experience in active rehabilitation, personal training, aquatic therapy, ergonomics, and performance training for clients ranging from athletes to those with chronic pain or cardiac rehabilitation needs.
