The category for this week's Battle Episode is "Not Good But...Good". Your hosts take a break from the critically acclaimed section of the 2000's movie archive and instead chose two films with a little less prestige. First is the messy, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson lead, action adventure The Rundown. Followed by the 2019 schlocky, horror thriller Escape Room. Can either picture rise from B-movie status and make the Modern Classics Greatest Films of the 21st Century List? This episode is a full on "rumble in the jungle" that you wont want to "escape" from.

This week's battle episode category is "Movies About The Movies". First up for discussion is Mike's pick Nope (2022). Jordan Peele's ambitious sci-fi epic complete with cowboys, aliens, and even a monkey. Next is category creator and winner of the show's previous battle Kendell who chose Empire Of Light (2022). A character drama exploring film, mental illness and life in 1980's England by another modern auteur Sam Mendes. It's going be a "Barn Burner" so "Hold Your Horses" and listen up. Then it's a breakdown of Gina Prince-Bythewood's "The Woman King" that packed a much needed punch to round out the episode.
