Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen argues that within the modern age the existence of guilt has begun to be universally denied. He states that man has always been subject to his conscience, so even if the rest of society pretends that man is above guilt this lecture shows how there always has and always will be a need for the sacrament of reconciliation.
