What does vengeance mean to you? Some concepts fade out of culture, but that doesn't mean the impulse doesn't still exist within us.

 

The Northman brings the pursuit of vengeance to modern audiences, possibly being a reason some critics found the movie offensive. But perhaps more offensive is a society that doesn't understand its history nor itself.
