Amidst all the crisis and criticism at home, the United Nations has passed a closed-door resolution claiming that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is setting the best example for how to maintain and practise social distancing during the COVID19 pandemic. This includes completely random TV announcements that are also carefully choreographed to avoid interaction of any kind.
The United Nations which is now closed for regular business has been conducting a regular closed-door meeting to discuss various issues that keep coming up about the current situation around the world. With the WHO blustering its way during both the first and second waves, the UN is keeping close tabs on all the major happenings around the world.
The international vaccine cooperation model or COVAX that is being promoted to ensure that poor countries who do not have the resources or infrastructure also get the vaccine has not had great success of late. Many countries have not received enough vaccines to vaccinate even 5% of their populations.
The UN is also keeping tabs on the Vaccine diplomacy being practised by countries like India, China and the USA where the UN tries to ensure that countries with vaccine producing capabilities do not take undue advantage of others. This has lead to the curbing of forced SinoPharm vaccinations being required by various countries for entry.

The idea to make this year Diwali photo a timelapse instead of a single image was floated by top scientists at NASA last year and final deliberations and discussions were scheduled for the day.
